| | MN-ADC© Minnesota Animal Disaster Coalition - MACA Serves as the umbrella organization for the Minnesota Animal Control Disaster Coalition ("MN-ADC").
- MN-ADC is a group of public agencies and volunteer nonprofit organizations organized to develop disaster plans and to help coordinate emergency responses with respect to the rescue and care of animals in disasters.
- Individuals, organizations or agencies with an involvement in emergency management or animal welfare are invited to subscribe to MN-ADC's free e-mailing list, and to join our group at our meetings, which are usually held monthly at the Animal Humane Society in Golden Valley.
- We have developed a model disaster plan for use at the county/municipal level, which has been well-received nationally.
- We have developed a state-level plan, which was put in place in 2003.
- ADC is also preparing a resource guide for use by emergency management personnel when dealing with animal issues. We hope to have the guide available online soon.
